The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for Site Managers and Senior Site Managers to be part of an organisation dedicated to nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for the site management of construction works for Substation projects. You will be attending and actively participating in project site progress meetings and resolving conflict and disputes which arise throughout contracts, as well as ensuring that testing and commissioning is performed in accordance with ITP's and Commissioning Check Sheets. You will be monitoring contractor performance to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, specifications, Transgrid policies/procedures, local Safety and Environmental Plans, and all stakeholder expectations are met. In addition to this, you will be assisting with design activities associated with the development of allocated projects, and investigations into the performance of assets.
Additional duties as a Senior Site Manager include providing efficient construction management services associated with Transgrid's assets and external business opportunities in full compliance with Transgrid policies and procedures and relevant safety and environmental legislation. You will be leading the planning and site management of all construction work associated with new and replacement equipment and ensures accurate estimating, delivery, and performance monitoring of internal and external projects.
About you Possession of an appropriate qualification:Electrical trade certificate or equivalent; ORDiploma in Electrical Engineering, Project Management or equivalent; ORBachelor Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Civil), Project Management or equivalent.Authorised under TransGrid's Safety Rules – (perform low voltage and high voltage switching) or be willing to undergo training to obtainExperience in construction, testing and commissioning of transmission assetsKnowledge in the application of WHS and environmental legislation relative to duties of the positionKnowledge of corporate drawings, design and management systemsSound interpersonal skills (including written and oral communication), which will facilitate the achievement of project objectivesKnowledge and understanding of all relevant legislation, policies and proceduresGood computer skills and knowledge of computer packages such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and MS Projects.NSW Driver's LicenceWillingness to assist with implementation of organisational changeThis position may require substantial time away from the base location, depending on the work demands of the organisationRecognition & Reward In return for your hard work, we have numerous benefits and initiatives to support you personally and professionally including but not limited to private health insurance discount, motor vehicle lease plan, career development support, study assistance program and workplace flexibility.
