We have a fantastic opportunity to take your career up north, to join a prominent and expanding construction company in the Darwin, Northern Territory as a Site Manager.

As the Site Manager you will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure the successful completion of the project within budget, time, contract and quality requirements, including appropriate site supervision, administration and reporting.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to site personnel ensuring project team work efficiently and effectively, with team members covering roles in other jobs when necessary
• Daily Site Diary updating and reporting of program impacts, client instructions, resourcing, plant usage, weather impacts and site issues
• Check designs and details on plans, any ambiguity to be followed up and resolved with the relevant authority
• Coordinate subcontractor planning to ensure adherence to project completion project and minimise operational conflicts
• Assess plant and labour resource requirements for project and communicate recommendations to Direct Line Manager
• Submission of delays, claims, variations and notices to clients in accordance with document
• Manage project industrial relations, liaising with the Project Manager where required
• Support toolbox meetings and other communications relevant to the project occur as required

Knowledge & Experience:

• Construction/Civil trade qualified, with knowledge of construction processes, health, and safety procedures
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience
• Hold a current first aid accreditation, a current driver's license, current police and DCSI clearance, or ability to obtain one
• Demonstrated experience in Management of all site activities for the whole of the project, including construction scheduling and constructability and managing construction sites
• Ability to identify, manage and resolve issues as they arise during the course of a project
• Understand drawings and contract documents
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Competency in basic suite of software (e.g., Microsoft professional suite)
• Have good understanding of Australian Standards (AS)
• Knowledge and compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA)
