South East Queensland is about to embark on a period of sustained growth in the lead up to the 2032 Olympics, and we are thrilled to be involved in developing Cross River Rail, which will forever change the way Queenslander's travel.CBGU JV brings together CPB Contractors, BAM, Ghella and UGL to deliver the Tunnel and Station Package for Brisbane's Cross River Rail, the 10.2 kilometre rail line between Dutton Park and Bowen Hills, including 5.9 kilometres of tunnel under the Brisbane River and CBD.
The project also includes construction of four new underground stations at Roma Street, Albert Street, Boggo Road and Woolloongabba.All project sites and offices are based in inner city Brisbane, and what's not to love.

Don't miss out on the chance to be part of working on South-East Queensland's largest infrastructure project that will leave a lasting legacy for the city of Brisbane for years to come.About the opportunity:We are currently recruiting a Site Manager to achieve optimum production and cost outcomes through the management of direct labour and subcontractors in a healthy and safe work environment based in Brisbane on-site.In this role, you will be responsible for:Assist in the development and review of Process Control Plans, Project Instructions and Work Method StatementsResponsible for the overall supervision of site works and the coordination between civil, structure, building services and finishing tradesPlanning and co-ordination of all construction activities on the site in consultation with the Site ManagerEffectively manage and handover of all site works in accordance with documented procedures, programs and project plans, drawings and specificationsMonitor site activity against the Construction Program and input to its updateIn conjunction with the Site Manager develop, implement and monitor all man and material handling requirements for the project including public protectionCare and maintenance of all construction plant on the siteParticipate in the identification, analysis and review of the project risk profileProvide input into constructability review of design documentationThe creation and maintenance of an Industrial Relations climate on the site that is conducive to a productive and co-operative work environmentDevelop and maintain effective relations with direct labour and SubcontractorsOverall responsibility for all on-site labour, supervision and subcontractors for conduct, direction and complianceManage industrial relations issues in accordance with Branch policyMake recommendations as to direct labour recruitmentMinimum requirements for this role include the following:Trade qualification relevant to the field of operation of the position (or relevant experience where trade qualification does not exist).At least 10 years construction experience in the related field with 5 years in a supervisory roleWritten and verbal communication skillsAnalytical, negotiation and relationship skillsConstruction coordination and programming skillsComputer skills in company's current software versions of word processing and e-mailIndustry and / or project induction in accordance with legislationTask training or skills to suit specific project activities and their associated risksDemonstrated decision making and team building skillsFamiliarity with industrial relations issues and resolution practicesAn ability to interpret and apply contractsA broad knowledge of safety and environmental legislationWe particularly welcome and encourage applications from Indigenous Peoples, women, the LGBTQ+ community, mature workers, Veterans and active-duty armed forces, people with disabilities and people from different cultural backgrounds.Please note: This role is being sourced through CPB Contractors directly and we will not accept applications via external recruitment agencies.
