Central West NSW Region Build a $75M Construction Project Accommodation, Food, Expenses, Vehicles provided Project Overview: Our client is undertaking the construction of a 1200-person workers' village as part of a $75 million development project in Western NSW.
This large-scale project is expected to run for 12-18 months, with on-site works set to commence at the end of March.
The project will eventually expand to include a second stage with a 600-person village.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the site, ensuring all aspects of the build are carried out to the highest standards.
Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee day-to-day operations on-site for the construction of a 1200-person workers' village.
The Site Manager will be responsible for ensuring the project runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently, directly contributing to the success of this large-scale project.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee all site activities, ensuring construction progresses according to the project schedule.
Coordinate and supervise site teams, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring work is completed to a high standard.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, implementing safety measures and conducting site inspections.
Maintain day-to-day site operations, including managing material deliveries, ensuring the site is properly equipped and maintained.
Liaise with the Project Manager, engineers, and contractors to ensure all project milestones are met.
Provide leadership and direction to the site team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
Manage site logistics, including site access, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Monitor and manage quality control, ensuring that all work adheres to industry standards and client specifications.
Report on site progress, safety issues, and any potential delays to senior management.
Resolve on-site issues and challenges efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline.
Key Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Site Manager on large-scale construction projects (ideally with experience in accommodation, industrial or commercial construction).
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, and materials.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Experience managing multiple subcontractors and maintaining site safety standards.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to site challenges.
Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients, stakeholders, and site teams.
Solid experience in managing site budgets and resources efficiently.
WHS certification and a strong commitment to safety on-site.
Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or a related field (desirable but not essential).
