UGL Major Projects division is expecting significant growth for 2025 in Western Australia as we support large Building Services Projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for locals and those open to FIFO and DIDO roles. As a result, we have an Expression of Interest for Site Engineer – Underground Services.
Oversee the planning and execution of underground service projects, including water, sewer, gas, and telecommunications.Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and efficiency.Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to guide the installation process.Ensure all underground services are installed according to industry standards and project requirements.Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.Identify and resolve any technical issues or obstacles that arise during the project.Implement solutions to address design or construction challenges.Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs and reports.Report any deviations from project plans to management and suggest corrective actions.About You 4-year degree qualification to Bachelor status in civil engineering (and recognised by IEAust).Minimum 5 years' experience as a Civil Engineer.Experience in managing underground service projects or similar infrastructure projects.Familiarity with relevant construction and safety standards.Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks and simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands.Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.Why Unite with the Very Best A competitive salary working in a rewarding, supportive and successful team.Flexible and blended work environment; make use of leave, flexible working and our 16 weeks paid primary parental leave options.Help create your Individual Development Plan and create significant opportunities for your professional development.A rewarding Wellness Program with AIA Vitality – earn cashback for gym shoes!We'll give you access to a multitude of rewards: Through our partnerships we can offer you discounts across shopping, food and wine, insurance, health and wellbeing, leisure and entertainment.You can also take advantage of our salary sacrifice options including cars, eligible portable electronic devices and professional memberships.As part of the recruitment process, there are several checks which may be conducted to demonstrate an applicant's suitability for a role including police/criminal background checks, medical, drug and alcohol testing, due diligence checks, right to work checks, and/or reference checks.
