What you'll love
As Site Engineer at one of our busy locations, you'll work closely with our Technical Managers and Engineers and get involved in a diverse range of exciting projects. You'll have a track record of delivering a diverse range of high value, complex projects within budget. If developing new techniques to treat waste gets you excited then this role works at the heart of projects that impact our environment, and the sustainability of future operations to support our community.
You'll be a suitably experienced Engineer with experience in waste infrastructure design, and track record of providing tailored waste management solutions. This is a great opportunity to contribute to our growing national presence by working on multiple challenging projects across our QLD sites.
This role will be based in Swanbank, QLD.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure landfill activities are conducted within the requirements of relevant licences, standards and internal procedures for quality, safety and environmental objectives.
Ensure all REMONDIS systems are updated and available for the team.
Advise Resource Recovery manager, operations managers and supervisors of potential risks and consequences along with being proactive with the provision of solutions for same.
Assist in the development of new techniques to treat waste that meet with REMONDIS objectives and relevant legislation.
Monitor the impact of operations on the environment and community and ensure all monitoring is carried out.
Proactively provide solutions for environmental and operational issues onsite.
Liaise with external stakeholders as required.
Project manage the development of all site projects in a proactive, economical and timely manner.
Provide innovative advice and solutions to all operational requirements.
Adhoc projects as directed by the Project Engineer and Resource Recovery Manager
Delivering risk assessment, risk management and quality management functions, ensuring compliance with all current statutory requirements, engineering and contract standards

What We're Looking For
Tertiary qualifications in Civil / Structural/Environmental Engineering
Chartered Engineering status or relevant qualifications
Technical understanding across all aspects of waste management infrastructure (ideal but not essential)
Demonstrated experience in delivering high value, complex projects on time and within budget
Understanding of Waste Management practices and relevant Environmental Legislation
You must hold a current and valid drivers licence to access the Swanbank Site
The ability to work across multiple stakeholders and have a clear and organised communication style.
