The project will deliver a major upgrade of the M80 Ring Road between the M80-Plenty Road interchange and the North East Link tunnel entrance at Watsonia, providing a seamless connection to North East Link.
Works includes the construction of 14 kilometres of new lanes, bulk earthworks, retaining walls, bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, urban design and landscaping.
This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028.
Key accountabilities for the position Work as part of an onsite project team ensuring the project is delivered to overall program to cost & time with resources needed leading to a high level of client satisfactionDaily & weekly cost tracking and maintenance of the activities diaryAssisting in maintenance of a 2-4 week look ahead programSite supervision and subcontractor management in performance & safety systemsProcuring of materials and coordinating deliveries and works schedulesParticipate in client/contractor meetings where requiredFoster collaborative and effective relationships with a range of internal/external stakeholdersEnsure all environment, sustainability, quality, safety & IR contract obligations are metBe a champion for safety and ensure safety processes are followed in line with legislative & project requirementsAttend design reviews and provide advice relating to constructability, temporary works designs, safety, and site accessIdentify opportunities for process improvement and innovationProvide professional mentoring to graduates and cadetsRequired Skills and Competencies You will have a tertiary qualification in civil/structural engineering, or similarYou will have a solid foundation of site-based experience working on a range of structural packages i.e bridges, structural steel, concrete, FRP works supporting a major road or rail project locallyAdvanced communication skills with an ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a broad range of stakeholdersAbility to problem solve, prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines in a challenging and fast-moving environmentACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023 & 2024 certification in Australia, which certifies the company's commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
