Drive on-time delivery of the ODM program through planning, scheduling, critical thinking whilst delivering defined financial and commercial outcomes.
Safety & Environment
• Ensure the team has a strong safety culture by ensuring corporate work safe processes and procedures are in place and working for risk, incident and injury free work sites for all personnel.
• Demonstrate through leadership and example a total commitment to the company and project safety policies and procedures - addressing incidents swiftly and ensuring lessons learnt are communicated via pre-start and toolbox discussions with teams.
• Actively promote the corporate safety initiatives including 'everyone safe everyday'.
Programme & Resource Management
• Monitor construction execution and report delays and problems to the senior project engineer and project engineer.
• Manage the BOQ ensuring all systems are up to date and reconciling according to construction progress.
• Assist in reconciling the final Contract Sum/s in conjunction with the Senior Project Engineer and Project Engineer.
• Report construction variations to the project engineer and senior project engineer.
• Verify that the revised BOQ correlates to the CWPs and that all construction is accounted for on the Construction Report.
• Ensure all Completion artefacts are delivered on time.
• Ensure all CARs and defects are closed on time. Regularly review trends in field issues and communicate these to the Project Engineer.
• Participate in Lessons Learnt and Innovation workshops.
Finance
• Prepare and submit material orders to the procurement team.
• Manage material issuing records and track material reconciliation.
• Participate in the reconciliation of the true-up.
• Check and validate the FSAM Accruals in conjunction with the Project Engineer as part of month end. In conjunction with the Project Accountant and Construction Manager review and develop the monthly financial forecast of the Project identifying, from risk registers, the risks/opportunities/issues of the Project and associated cost contingency requirements and allocations.
Quality & Contract Management
• Maintain a record of all Project KPIs and lead indicators, analysing results, facilitating and developing improvement initiatives (in consultation with the Construction Manager) and presenting these to the Project Manager/State Manager for enforcement.
• Be fully conversant with the contract we are working under, including all rights and obligations.
Leadership, Culture and Values
• Actively promote and demonstrate cohesion with fellow project personnel and foster a team culture of ownership and excellence in all aspects of work for a 'best for project' outcome.
• Actively engage with team members to ensure the workplace is fair, ethical, equitable and free from discrimination. Ensure issues are addressed, performance problems identified and resolved in accordance with company policies and procedures.
