As an Engineer, you will have extensive knowledge of the day-to-day issues that affect civil construction sites in order to make decisions to maximize the project's success in terms of profitability, efficiency, contract period, and human relations.Our Urban business has an ongoing pipeline of work in North Queensland (Townsville and Mackay) and can offer the right candidate a genuine opportunity to grow their skills and progress their career within a growing family-owned business.Who we're looking for:We are looking for multiple Site Engineers to join our high-caliber team.
You will draw on your demonstrated site and engineering experience to:Work closely with site supervisors to provide engineering and technical support.Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of activities.Provide innovative solutions to complex challenges and strive towards safety, environmental, specification, design, and contractual requirements.Manage the quality assurance of works and oversee procurement requirements.The successful candidate will be a self-starter with:A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.High-level verbal and written communication skills.Preferably two years' experience on civil infrastructure projects.Excellent attitude towards health, safety, environmental, and quality outcomes, embedding this commitment in everything you do.Motivation to achieve value-for-money results.You may also have the following additional desirable skills:Previous experience with major tier one or two contractors undertaking similar work.Previous experience working with the Department of Transport and Main Roads.We offer a rewarding long-term career, opportunities to develop, and a culture that values your contribution.
