This new transmission line will connect the Bannaby 500 kV substation at the Wondalga interface point with HumeLink West.About the Opportunity:We are after an experienced Civil Site Engineer, with good communication and problem-solving abilities, remote working, self-motivating and working as part of a Team. The Civil Site Engineer will provide direct engineering and technical support to the construction team that will contribute to the successful delivery of the Project and be responsible for ensuring that all work activities related to their scope are planned, coordinated and executed in accordance with the Project's Engineering, Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures.Key Responsibilities:Manage daily construction activities to ensure project milestones are achievedMonitor and report the performance of the workforce and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to technical, program, quality, environmental, safety, and commercial standardsAttend design reviews and provide input on constructability, temporary works designs, safety, site access, and related issues.Create, monitor, and control project schedulesPlan and implement site establishment activities, ensuring compliance with site-specific and contract requirements, including location, fencing, signage, environmental, and traffic conditionsIdentify, analyze, and mitigate potential risks, maintaining a risk register and initiating corrective actions as neededManage changes to scope, deliverables, schedules, and budgetsAnalyze variances, trends, risks, and opportunities, and highlight significant operational performance issues to managementIntegrate environmental considerations into all construction activitiesSkills & Experience:Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field with relevant professional certificationsPrior experience working on major infrastructure projectsProven experience in on-site engineering roles, demonstrating a strong understanding of construction processesExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in dynamic construction environmentsEffective communication skills to liaise with project stakeholders, teams, and regulatory authoritiesIf you feel like you meet some or all of the above criteria, APPLY NOW!
