With multiple construction projects nationally, we are seeking a talented Site Engineer to join our projects delivery team.
In this role you will: Acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of the contract, scope of works and the specifications and technical engineering requirements on which the contract is based.Assist in the development of project planning requirements.Maintain accurate documentation and records, and ensure appropriate distribution to the project team.Ensure the project team is provided sufficient information to complete assigned tasks.Make technical and engineering decisions within the scope of authority to ensure project compliance to all applicable criteria.Identify and control scope of works variations, and potential variation items.Acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of applicable subcontract agreements and purchase orders and monitor compliance with these.Prepare ITPs and establish and maintain an effective quality system to ensure all contractual records, test results and inspections are obtained.Prepare material purchasing specifications, procurement support and administration of manufacturing and supply processes where required.Prepare material requisitions and purchase orders as required for project procurement.Monitor and log major material deliveries, recording quantities and inspecting the quality of materials supplied.Keep Project Manager informed of project development, and liaise with and coordinate the activities of Supervisors and Leading hands providing technical and other support.Identify, assess and manage the hazards and risks associated with project activities.Other duties consistent with your qualifications, skills, and capabilities.Working to a 2:1 FIFO roster.About you: Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent tertiary degree.2-5 years' experience as a Site Engineer within the civil construction industry.Experience on long corridor projects involving bored piling and delivering concrete work packages, highly regarded.Valid class C driving licence essential.Construction Industry White Card essential.Knowledge of geotechnical principles and design.Proficient user of MS Office including Microsoft Excel.Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.Knowledge and application of engineering standards.Current First Aid Certificate and CPR desirable.Attention to detail and high level of organisation, time management and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.Team player with ability to manage and develop subordinates.Alignment with our values: Client, Leadership, Excellence, Accountability & Results.The right to work in Australia and ability to travel for work.What's in it for you?
