Payroll administrator  | Competitive hourly rate | Weekly pay! 6-month contract Opportunities for professional growth and development Dynamic work environment supporting critical operations in the mining sector FIFO from Brisbane CBD location to site either fortnight or monthly 9 day fortnight roster  Position Summary

This role is responsible for managing pre-payroll tasks, including timesheet and compliance checks crucial to accurate payroll runs as well as assisting the HR team on site. Based in the Brisbane CBD office, this role follows a 9-day fortnight schedule, with occasional site visits (fortnightly or monthly). Competitive hourly rates are negotiable for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
Timesheet and data verification: Conduct pre-processing checks on timesheets to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Compliance checks: Review payroll entries for adherence to company policies and relevant industry standards. On-site HR support: During site visits, assist the HR team with payroll-related administrative tasks, such as responding to employee payroll inquiries, updating personal and payroll records, and supporting onboarding processes. Reporting and record maintenance: Prepare reports on payroll activities, maintain accurate records, and assist in auditing tasks as required. Payroll data updates: Collaborate with HR to manage updates related to employee leave, role changes, and other relevant payroll adjustments. General HR administration: Provide administrative support to the HR team as needed, ensuring consistent and organised workflows. What You'll Bring: Site Experience is Desirable but not essential  Experience in payroll processing highly regarded Experience with pre-processing activities such as verifying timesheets and ensuring accurate data entry. Familiarity with HR processes, including employee onboarding, maintaining personnel files, and handling employee inquiries regarding payroll. Excellent communication skills to interact with employees regarding payroll matters and provide clear, timely information. Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and collaborate effectively with HR and payroll teams. Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
