ADD VALUE - THE ROLE The Cadet Engineer – Water and Sewer is responsible for assisting the Utilities Engineering Team and Strategy and Compliance Team to provide engineering services across capital works, operational support, asset management, development engineering and strategic planning.
Key responsibilities include: Assist in the planning, investigation and management of the delivery of capital projects Assist in assessments for new developments Assist in the development and management of long-term operating and capital budgets Assist in undertaking analysis and modelling of infrastructure data and records using Council's corporate Asset Management Information System Assist in the development and maintenance of water and sewer models that support water and sewer network capital works planning and development This position is offered on a temporary basis (up to 2-year cadetship) working 35 hours per week. To be considered for this role you will need to be currently enrolled in a Degree in Engineering (Civil, Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical) in your penultimate or final year.
Remuneration package for this position is based in accordance with the Local Government (state) Award in the range of $1142.50 - $1194.60 per week plus superannuation.
