About the roleJoin the team at Fraser Coast Disability Services Pty Ltd as a SIL Disability Support Worker, providing hands-on assistance and support to participants with a range of disabilities in the Hervey Bay region. This is a casual role, allowing flexibility to work around your schedule. This role may become a permanent role for the right person.
What you'll be doing Assisting participants with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, and groomingProviding support for daily living activities including meal preparation, housekeeping, and running errandsEngaging participants in recreational, social, and educational activities to promote their wellbeingDocumenting participant progress and ensuring detailed records are maintainedAdhering to all organisational policies, procedures, and safety protocolsCollaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualised support plansEssential RequirementsMust be able to work a 24/7 roster including 6am starts, active awake shifts and/or sleepover shifts.What we're looking for Experience providing direct care and support to individuals with complex disabilitiesStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with participantsPatience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of othersA flexible and adaptable approach, able to respond to the unique needs of each participantA current driver's licence and reliable transportationWhat we offerAt Fraser Coast Disability Services, we are committed to creating a rewarding and supportive work environment for our employees.
