Coulson Aviation Australia is a subsidiary of global aerial firefighting leader Coulson Aviation and supports Australian States and Emergency Service Organisations with the provision of heavy aircraft and experienced team members.
Coulson Aviation Australia operates the New South Wales Rural Fire Service fleet of aerial firefighting and emergency services assets consisting of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft.
With a diverse fleet of a Boeing 737 FIRELINER, Citation and King Air Command/Control aircraft, CH47D Chinooks, UH-60 Blackhawks and Bell 412 helicopters, we operate a high-paced year-round operation.
In addition to the operation, Coulson Aviation Australia also manages all aspects of maintenance, fleet support systems, and management.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:We are currently seeking experienced, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join the team.
The right candidate will have the ability to work in a team environment conducting aerial firefighting and flood response, crew/equipment transport, reconnaissance, search and rescue, disaster mitigation, and related operations in support of emergency services.
They must have a strong focus on safety and customer service.
The role requires flexibility and working away from home base at short notice and offers a competitive salary and an emphasis on work/life balance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Inspect, repair, and maintain aircraft systems and componentsCarry out scheduled inspectionsTroubleshoot aircraft structural, mechanical or hydraulic systems to identify problems and adjust and repair systems according to current dataEnsure that work sheets, logs, tracking updates, and other required records are complete and submitted in a timely mannerREQUIREMENTS:Current CASA Aircraft Engineer license with B1.3 or B2 category, or working towardExperience with Sikorsky S-70 or UH-60CASA or DASA S-70 Type Rating preferredExperience with and in-depth knowledge of applicable maintenance directives, maintenance data reporting, using technical ordersWe would like to thank all applicants in advance for their interest; however, we can only consider applicants that are Australian residents and are legally eligible to work in Australia, with preference given to qualified Aboriginal or Torres Strait candidates.
