Job Type: Permanent position | Full time positionJob DescriptionSigns by Knight are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Signwriter to join their team in Wodonga VIC 3690. The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:Engaging in discussions with clients and assessing proposals, sketches, and written instructions to determine the composition of signageUtilizing computer software and sign making machinery to design and produce signs and graphicsCrafting signs by measuring and calculating letter sizes, prepping surfaces, applying background paint using brushes, sprays, or rollers, and fashioning letters with brushes, stencils, enamel paint, and decalsDeveloping wall murals, screen prints, gold leaf work, and custom vehicle artApplying lacquers, varnishes, paints, and various materials for sign and lettering paintingPainting signs on various surfaces such as brick, metal, wood, glass, plastic, and othersConstructing and installing three-dimensional signsCreating cost estimates for labour and materialsPossibly working on scaffolding when neededPotentially installing signs at on-site locationsSkills and Abilities:Ideally have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a SignwriterCertificate III in Signs and Graphics or other relevant qualificationAbility to work in a team environmentSalary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience.
