Are you ready to lead a skilled team at the forefront of aviation signage and design? As an Aircraft Signwriter Supervisor with the Qantas Group, you'll oversee the creation and application of cutting-edge aircraft markings, both internal and external, for Qantas and other prominent clients. This is a unique opportunity to combine leadership, creativity, and technical expertise in delivering high-impact, visually stunning projects.
In this leadership role, you will guide your team through a variety of projects, ranging from intricate aircraft decals and signage to full-scale aircraft liveries and car wraps. You will ensure each design is executed with precision and unmatched quality. Alongside managing projects, you'll lead the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring efficiency, high standards and fostering a collaborative high-performance environment.
You'll have – A Certificate III in Signwriting or an equivalent Trade Certificate, with experience in signage, graphics, or a related field.Familiarity with industrial environments, such as aviation or manufacturing, is highly valued.Knowledge of Roland Printers, as well as proficiency in Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat DC, and Microsoft Office programs (desirable).Proven leadership and people management skills, with experience in supervising teams, including tasks such as leave planning, team development, performance management, and mentoring.Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, forecast, and schedule work programs, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard.Experience collaborating with customers and stakeholders, developing business plans, and executing commercial projects, from quoting to delivery.A focus on training and developing staff, with the ability to mentor and guide the team, ensuring it grows in line with business needs.Exceptional organisation and prioritisation abilities, enabling you to meet tight deadlines and targets while managing multiple projects.A commitment to safety, with a strong understanding of compliance and engineering standards in a workshop environment.High ethical standards and professionalism, with the flexibility to adjust working hours and travel as needed to support customers.If you're up for achieving the impossible, register your interest and we'll be in touch.
