Duties and Responsibilities: Meet or deliver Signalling expertise out in the field and within local and regional locations on multiple Rail network providers.Document their daily works and comply with all SJM Rail health and safety requirements whilst performing their role.Ensure all compliance documentation is filled out in accordance with SJM IMS system.Manage the client and consultant interfaces.Undertake specialist training to ensure compliance to RIM providers.Discuss, develop and review alternative methods and materials with Site Supervisor.Report to the relevant supervisor on site program.Participate in client and consultant meetings.Complete all aspects of site administration including safety, site diaries, IR issues, etc.Work effectively and under the direction of others (i.e., Signal Engineers).Liaise with SJM Rail site manager to ensure all items within the BOM for each project have been allocated to the project in question.Provide feedback to the site manager for any defective items on site and ensure that the relevant actions are taken to meet our compliance framework.Manage and assist with the delivery of items or sourcing during the project delivery.Attend pre-inspection site walkthroughs and tenders in accordance with the client's requirements.Manage client relationships with proactiveness and leadership.Enter all relevant information into relevant documentation.Install, modify, maintain, and repair signalling and communication equipment, in accordance with SJM Rail standards, technical maintenance plans, signalling discipline standards, practices, and safe working procedures.Examine and test signalling equipment in accordance with signalling standards, diagnose and isolate faults, and ensure that appropriate certificates are submitted.Install and maintain mechanical signalling locking and interlocking devices.Maintain aerial signal/telecommunications lines and cables.Promptly attend to emergencies and irregularities and ensure that equipment is safely returned to service.Maintain materials, tools, vehicles, and equipment.Recommend improvements in maintenance and work processes.Optimize infrastructure performance and availability.Supervise and train staff to ensure that they perform their duties in accordance with signalling standards, practices, and safe working procedures.Participate in projects and undertake other duties as requested.Skills and Qualifications: At least 2-3 years of experience in a relevant position.Demonstrated commitment to employee safety.Trade certificate as an Electrical Tradesperson and a current driver's licence.Sydney Trains, CRN or ATRC Licensed Signal Electrician.Accredited as Protection Officer Class 2 (or attain accreditation within 6 months of appointment).Detailed knowledge of the types and contents of rail signalling documentation and maintenance procedures and requirements of signalling equipment.Demonstrated diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Effective oral and written communication skills.Benefits: Competitive Salary Package – Reflecting your skills and experience.Work-Life Balance – Flexible working options to suit your needs.Professional Development – Training, certifications, and career growth opportunities.Paid Leave – Generous annual leave, parental leave, and long service leave.Overtime Pay – Paid overtime with additional allowances for extra shifts.Travel Perks – Reimbursement for travel expenses and work-related accommodation.Please apply now for an immediate start!
