Programmed is currently seeking Shutdown Supervisors with previous mining experience to join our South Australian shutdown pool.
Successful applicants will have previous mine site or refinery experience, with a strong work ethic and demonstrated commitment to safety.
Required qualifications:
Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
Current Nationally Accredited Confined Space & Working at Heights
High risk qualifications are highly regarded (Forklift, Elevated work platform, Rigging)
Mechanical or Fabrication Trade Certificate
Ideal candidate should possess the following qualities:
Excellent working knowledge of workplace health and safetyStrong Leadership and interpersonal skills
Supervisory experience in the mining industry
Understanding of standards applicable to working within the resources sector.
Mechanical aptitude that enables the completion of maintenance and inspection tasks.
Ability to formulate business emails and quotations
A proactive and motivated approach while maintaining the ability to work under pressure
Flexibility to undertake various rosters / sites / locations
Strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally
Proficient skills in computers: MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Duties include:
Day to day management and deployment of allocated plant and equipment.
Resolve day to day on site coordination related issues with the site teams.
Manage the preparation and delivery of all safety related documentation and ensure this is in place before work starts.
Manage subcontractors in terms of work scope, variations and other contractual obligations
