With several long-term contracts across Queensland now underway, and more exciting new business ventures to come shortly, this area of our business really is buzzing with excitement. We currently have a vacancies Shotfirers across our North West Queensland Region. Your point of hire will be Townsville and all accommodation and meals will be provided on shift and transport to and from site is provided. This is a chance to secure a stable permanent role with the global market leader in blasting. At Orica, we have incredible training and organisational development infrastructure in which to support Shotfirers who wish to take the next step their careers into Technical and Blast Engineering related roles, or Leadership within our large global business. What you will be doing First and foremost, demonstrating and setting the example of our key company value: 'Safety is our Priority, Always'; Providing shotfiring expertise; Assisting with training and mentoring of new team members; Working in tight unison with all blast crew teammates to provide an excellence in service to our valued customers; At all times acting with integrity and respect. What you will bring An unquestionable attitude toward working safely as a priority; Current Queensland Shotfiring licence with experience in an Open Cut environment; Current QLD Explosives Security Clearance or ability to obtain; HR Licence is advantageous but not essential; A positive team-orientated work ethic; The ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screen.
