Shop Assistant – Mazins Diamond Jewellers

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Assistant to join our prestigious jewellery store.
This is a full-time position that includes weekend work, and we are looking for individuals with prior experience in a similar business.
Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing expert advice on jewellery selection, styles, and trends.
Maintain a clean and organised sales floor, ensuring that products are attractively displayed.
Process transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
Handle customer inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally, striving to exceed their expectations.
Assist with inventory management, including receiving, pricing, and stocking merchandise.
Collaborate with the store manager and team members to achieve sales targets and contribute to the store's success.
Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends to effectively communicate information to customers.
Requirements:
Proven experience working in a similar role within the jewellery industry, demonstrating a strong understanding of jewellery products and customer preferences.
Excellent computer skills, and familiarity with POS systems.
Ability to multitask effectively, prioritise tasks, and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
Detail-oriented mindset with a high level of accuracy in handling transactions and maintaining inventory records.
Exceptional organisational skills and a keen eye for visual merchandising.
Flexible availability to work full-time hours, including alternate Saturdays.
Advantageous Skills:
Familiarity with website management, including updating product listings, uploading images, and optimising content.
Proficiency in utilising social media platforms for marketing and promoting jewellery products.
Basic knowledge of jewellery repairs, including clasps, resizing, and cleaning.
