The organisation The AH-64E Boeing Apache helicopter has been selected for the Australian Army and will be coming into service soon, joining our current Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) supported rotary wing fleet of Chinook medium lift and EC-135 training helicopters.

This position will be based at Townsville, QLD.
The expected start date for this position will be February 2025.
BDA provides a range of design, modification, production, repair and continuing airworthiness services to support Defence's aircraft fleets.

About the opportunity We are seeking experienced Shipping/Receiving Specialists, to support the AH-64E Apache capability and partner fleets.
As a skilled Shipping/Receiving Specialist, you will apply your knowledge and experience to provide the following services for the Apache fleet: * Manages incoming/outgoing shipments for identification and damage * Confirms completeness and accuracy of receipt/shipping documentation * Identifies and resolves shipping/receiving discrepancies * Supports engagement with warehouse customers * Ensures accuracy and management of electronic warehouse databases * Carries out purchasing activities with directed suppliers * Position will be required to support rotating shift work patterns and periods of on-call duty About you To be successful in this role you will have: * Previous ADF/FMS/Aviation warehousing experience will be highly regarded * A satisfactory level of physical fitness, required to perform certain levels of manual tasking * Current Drivers Licence and Forklift Operators license * Ability to work independently and produce a high standard of work * Good communication skills (written and verbal) that facilitate open and effective communications between key stake holders * Demonstrated high level of integrity and procurement ethics * Previous experience in Purchasing and Supply Management in aviation and/or Defence environment will be highly regarded * Baseline Security Clearance or ability to obtain Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
