Position open to experienced Shipping/Warehouse Coordinators or recent Graduates with GMP experience looking for more exposureFull-time, permanent positionLocated in Melbourne CBDThe Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the routine and ad-hoc shipment(s) of inbound and outbound materials such as, but not limited to, raw materials (including site to site materials and direct to site), semi-finished product, drug substance, drug product, reference reagents/standards, cell banks, QC samples, and other associated materials to local and/or international locations.
Shipments are for GxP and non-GxP materials which usually require full cold chain management with validated temperature management.This role will be based out of our client's new GMP R&D facility, located in Melbourne's CBD.The Shipping Coordinator will be the central point of contact for staff requiring material shipping from the site.
The Shipping Coordinator will liaise with Supply Chain and Global Logistics personnel for international and GMP shipments.
Training will be provided.Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the role will focus on:Coordination of transport and pre-packing of manufactured materials and samples for GxP and non-GxP purposes.Receiving the pre-packed materials and samples and packing them accordingly following the requirements for both GMP and non-GMP purposes.Coordinating and checking transport companies to ensure they follow transport requirements before shipping any materials or samples.Supporting GMP transit storage facilities and inventories and ensuring warehouse and distribution activities are GxP compliant where applicable.Maintaining cleanliness and safety in the warehouse and loading bay during shipping activities in accordance with all warehouse OH&S requirements.Ensuring export trade compliance including adherence to Trusted Trader and Known Consignor Programs.
Supporting relevant teams to complete their IATA forms if required.Maintaining and updating accurate inventory records in the Inventory Management System and ensuring stocktaking and other inventory control is maintained.Ensuring correct storage and handling for dangerous goods and ambient/cold chain items.Reviewing logistics volume planning and coordinating/requesting bookings as required with global logistics for both domestic and international transport bookings.The Shipping Coordinator may be involved in developing 3-month rolling forecasts.Processing and entering bookings with accuracy.
Liaising with transport companies and coordinating courier bookings to ensure delivery times and customer requirements are met.Liaising with end users by managing emails, queries, and general correspondence.Communicating with transport companies and end users to provide an estimated time of arrival and unforeseen delays in a timely manner.Receiving direct and indirect materials within the inventory management system and ensuring Purchase Order non-conformances are documented appropriately.Managing waste collection if needed (Example: waste certificates).Ensuring warehouse consumables are managed appropriately.Data entry into SAP and Microsoft Office as needed and assisting with data collection and reporting of Logistic KPI's.As an important role within Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing, the following selection criteria are essential for success:Qualifications in inventory management and/or logistics.Previous GMP experience.Demonstrated distribution and warehousing experience preferably in a manufacturing or related environment.Knowledge of GMP, GDP, and GWP in a warehouse environment.Good knowledge of inventory management systems (SAP Systems).
