Searson Buck seeks an experienced shipping and invoice administrator to join our client's team.
This role is essential in managing the financial and statistical data related to shipping operations, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices and reports.
Key Responsibilities: Invoicing: Collate cargo information and process invoices for wharfage, port dues, and marine services.
Reporting: Prepare and maintain regular shipping and cargo data reports, including end-of-year financial reports and monthly updates.
Data Management: Maintain and update databases related to pricing, port dues, and wharfage, ensuring data accuracy.
Collaboration: Liaise with stevedores, ships' agents, and internal teams to gather information for statistical and financial reporting.
Process Improvement: Support continuous improvements to invoicing systems and contribute to enhancing reporting processes.
Support: Provide cross-training and assist other corporate administration staff during high workloads and leave periods.
What You Bring: Experience: experience in senior administration or financial processing roles.
Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems, with knowledge of accounting and audit processes.
Industry Knowledge: Experience within the shipping or transport industries is highly desirable but not essential.
Qualifications: A current driver's license is required.
