Customer centric service focus is delivered through a site-level empowered culture.At Culina we have a winning culture, we believe that our culture is one of the reasons our company continues to thrive… A place where you're valued, challenged, and inspired!Job DescriptionWe would like to present you with an exciting opportunity for a Shift Supervisor to join our team at our Deeside site on a full time permanent basis!As a Shift Supervisor you will support the Shift Managers in the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring that all service and cost targets are met or exceeded, that all Health & Safety requirements are met and that the highest standards of housekeeping are maintained.Working hours: 4 on 4 off, 7am-7pm/7pm-7am rotating.Key Duties of a Shift Supervisor:Assist the Shift Manager in co-ordinating any issues within the warehouse.Scheduling and supervising the activities and the functions of the warehouse staff.Ensuring the proper and timely completion of all warehouse activities.Communicate plans with the Operations Controllers to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.Ensure compliance with the Company's Health & Safety policy and procedures through safe systems of work and practices, good housekeeping and the provision of information and training to the warehouse team to ensure total safety awareness.Keep and maintain records of team performance against plans and to advise the Shift Manager of factors that may disrupt operations which cannot be resolved by the team.Assist in the organisation of training and development for warehouse staff, including on-the-job coaching, and to evaluate training effectiveness in terms of improved individual and team performance and the maximum flexibility of team members.To offer regular feedback, formal and informal, on team and individual performance, including behavioural issues and highlighting good performance and areas for further development.Assist the Shift Manager in controlling levels of planned and unplanned absence and take appropriate action to ensure cover, as necessary, and manage reductions of unacceptable levels.Participate as an active member of the management team, and to offer suggestions for solving problems, improving efficiency, customer and quality focus and team working.QualificationsAble to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.Must be a team player who is capable of working on their own initiative.Able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of on-site systems.PC Literate in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.Ability to efficiently lead a team, delegate, supervise functions and keep staff motivated.Excellent time management skills and problem-solving skills.Strong interpersonal, conciliation skills and the capacity to network with suppliers and customers.Working knowledge of SAP, PKMS, Road Runner would be useful but not essential.Experience in a packing or rework operation would be advantageous.Additional InformationAs part of our drive to make Great Bear a great place to work, we are proud to be an inclusive and diverse organisation where we are committed to employee development and recognising success for hard-working performers.Our dedicated learning and development programmes are open to every employee to give you the opportunity to shape your own future within logistics and continue to work in an environment where team culture thrives.Our people are the driving force behind our success, which is why we offer a wide range of benefits which include:Annual Leave: 20 days inclusive of the bank holidays.Pension scheme: We want colleagues to enjoy a comfortable retirement so we offer a great contribution of 4% employee and 4% employer.Life Assurance: x2 your annual salary.Wellness: Via our Employee Assistance Programme we offer immediate access to a confidential telephone counselling and legal information service that operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.Eye Care Vouchers: We can provide you with substantial savings with free eye tests and discounts on prescription glasses.Reward & Recognition: We recognise that employees have gone the extra mile via Employee of the Month and Year, special recognition and long service awards.Everyday discounts: Via our benefit platform you will have access to over 50 retailer discounts for everyday savings!If you meet the requirements for the above role and are looking for your next career opportunity, please apply now and become a part of our #WinningTeam!
