  As Trade Assistant /Operator, you will work as part of our team at Brisbane Airport to manage the operations and maintenance of the baggage system.
You will have a proactive approach to work and enjoy a fast paced working environment.
On the job training will be provided so that you are equipped to do your job to the best of your ability.
Daily Maintenance:  You'll play a crucial role in maintaining our equipment through preventive, reactive, and corrective maintenance, keeping everything running smoothly.
Tools and Materials Caretaker:  Maintain our tools and materials, ensuring they're in great working condition and ready for use whenever necessary.
Knowledge Sharing Champion : Guide our staff and stakeholders on our system, sharing insights and expertise to enhance the team's collective understanding.
Responding with Precision: Handle emergency tasks swiftly and effectively, showcasing your ability to stay composed and take decisive action when needed.
Shift work is a requirement in this role, with a 4 days on 4 days off pattern, so you must be comfortable and able to work on a shift roster.
Skills and experience To succeed in this role you should bring the following skills, experience and attributes, along with the right to work in Australia: Experience with maintenance of equipment.
Understanding and experience in basic computer skills Experience with the mechanical aspects of a conveyor system or other similar equipment desired Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve Demonstrate work ethic and time management skills Good oral and written communication skills
