We're seeking a motivated and experienced Shift Manager who excels in managing production staff, optimizing processes, and maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
In this role, you will be leading and coaching your team and managing their day-to-day performance and development to ensure all production objectives are achieved.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Lead, develop and motivate a diverse team of production staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Oversee daily production activities, ensuring that processes run smoothly and that production targets are consistently achieved.
Address and resolve any issues or conflicts within the team promptly and effectively.
Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development and growth for team members.
Prioritising and managing tasks within the designated area to ensure the plant starts on time and learning curves are being met.
Developing and implementing continuous improvement activities that address safety, quality and efficiency.
Planning, directing and coordinating team members during dry & wet commissioning and product/process validation, to meet established specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards.
Liaising with the Reliability, Safety, Quality, Supply, R&D, Project & Site Engineering & Logistics teams.
Knowledge & Experience:

Continuous improvement mindset, growth mindset & behaviours with a passion for leadership demonstrated.
Ability to lean into tough conversations, performance management and disciplinary whilst also driving development, motivation and progression.
Proven experience in a people management role, with a track record of successfully leading and developing teams.
Manufacturing experience preferred but not essential.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage a diverse team.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Experience with production planning and process optimization.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
