Banneton Bakery is looking for a Shift Leader to join our team.
A position is just about to open. The ideal candidate must appreciate and understand what great food and service is about.
Banneton Bakery is a specialized Sourdough Bakery/Cafe/Patisserie with 3 locations in Brisbane. The position is for Woolloongabba and Camp Hill. As both locations are geographically fairly close, there is a lot of synergy between the two.
This is not a traditional cafe as we operate as a Bakery/Cafe. This means that no food is cooked on site. A combination of retail sales (Bread/Pastries) and savoury food to be re-heated on site is our main offering. Coffee sales are also an intricate part of the products, either as a takeaway or dine-in.
As a shift leader, the main duties involve:
Staff and Store presentation.Following general procedures such as Opening, Closing, Merchandising.Team balance and cohesion.Coffee Quality and consistency.Efficiency of service and Cleanliness of the premises.No night work is involved, but one day on weekends and early morning starts are part of the gig.
The ideal candidate must have the following:
Strong Barista skills (minimum 3 to 4 years with very regular practice). Appreciate good food.Be fully accountable for their roles.Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, staff members, and management.Not be afraid to work hard and be proud of what they do.Previous position in a similar role is preferable.Some of the things we offer to the right person:
