Work Location: Lane CoveWorking arrangement: 12 hours rotation shift (4 on, 4 off - 2 days/2 nights - 6 am-6pm/6pm-6 am)About the Role: As a CBRE Data Center Shift Lead, you will provide oversight over the team that performs advanced preventative maintenance and complex corrective repairs within a Data Center operation.This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function.
They are responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments.What You'll Do:Manage, plan, coordinate, schedule, and oversee the workload, deadlines, and day-to-day activities of the support team members to ensure effective delivery of services.
Provide holiday, training & sickness cover for other members of the shift team.Ensure daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment are conducted.Verify the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.Assist staff with difficult planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on all equipment as needed.Review meter readings from UPS, PDU and utilities to ensure accurate information.
Present to management and key stakeholders.Confirm safety processes and requirements on all regulatory requirements and quality standards are met.Review quality checks and retain comprehensive maintenance records.Develop and implement advanced work processes, Job Hazard Analysis reports, and SOPs for critical work with risk assessment.Complete all required training to ensure successful completion of all job-related responsibilities.Apply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives.Showcase expertise in own job discipline and in-depth knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function.Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
Anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels and of divergent interest, to adopt a different point of view.Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams.Work is guided by functional policies which impact the design of procedures and policies.Contribute to new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans in support of achieving functional goals.Communicate difficult and complex ideas with the ability to influence.What You'll Need: High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5-8 years of job-related experience.
In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Journeyman/Electrician or HVAC license, required, and state and local licensures, where required.
Prior shift leader or supervisory experience preferred.Certificate III - Electrical & Valid Electrical LicenseDriver's licenseAustralian Citizen - NV1 ClearanceAbility to work shifts that may include weekends and holidaysMeet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs.
