Shift Engineer (Production)

Shift Engineer Wakefield, Site Based Hours of work: 6 – 6 (4 on, 4 off; days and nights) £51,000 per annum 20 Days Holiday Pension, Bonus, Annual Reviews Position Summary Working in an automated production facility, as part of a highly skilled and well-established engineering team.
You'll be driven and skilled in finding and rectifying faults through inputs and outputs, reading and acting on data, conducting planned and preventative maintenance and working on a variety of equipment from bulk handling systems, through processing and packaging, site services and PLC control systems.
Essential Requirements: Able to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (Days and Nights working 6-6). Electrically biased Multi Skilled Engineer preferred Understanding of PLC (ideally Allen Bradley) and control systems with the ability to fault find would be advantageous Excellent route cause analysis skills Engineering Qualification such as Apprenticeship, HNC, BTECH or equivalent. Knowledge and experience of maintenance preferably in a manufacturing environment. H&S knowledge e.g.
IOSH – able to ensure a safe working environment. Analysing and problem-solving skills, anticipates problems before they occur and takes steps to deal with them/correctly and swiftly identifies the underlying problem and finds appropriate solutions. The Role Adhere to Health and Safety legislation, policy and standards identifying any required actions. Drive improvements in asset reliability and reduce losses. Development of maintenance approach for manufacturing equipment. Compliance with quality and food safety legislation, company standards and specifications in order to meet the requirements of professional and legal standards.
