Epiroc Australia is seeking an experienced SHEQ Advisor to join and support our team nationally.
Reporting to the SHEQ Manager, this permanent full-time role can be based at one of our operating locations in Brisbane or Adelaide.
We are seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to join and support our team! As a Health and Safety Advisor, your primary responsibility is to ensure that all health and safety regulations and guidelines are followed.
You will work closely with engineers, technicians, and other professionals to identify potential safety hazards and risks associated with equipment and processes, and develop strategies to eliminate or minimize those risks.
The key responsibilities of the role include: Conducting risk assessments and safety audits of mining systems to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.Developing safety policies and procedures.Providing safety training to personnel.Monitoring and analysing safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.Advising management on safety issues.Investigating accidents and incidents and recommending corrective actions.Keeping up-to-date with the latest health and safety regulations and guidelines.Representing the company in discussions with regulatory bodies and industry groups on health and safety matters.Key requirements of the role include: Relevant Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, with experience in a similar role within the resources industryDemonstrated safety leadership with an ability to engage and influence various stakeholdersExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create rapport with people at all levelsAbility to collaborate and work in a team environment as well as be autonomous when requiredDemonstrate a 'can do' approach - someone who can be relied on to get the job doneHave strong time management and multi-tasking abilitiesBe flexible and organised with great attention to detailHave intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPointWhat We Offer: Flexible work conditionsCompany-paid Income ProtectionNovated leasingUnlimited career opportunitiesPaid parental leave for primary and non-primary carersAbove NES long service leaveYears of service recognition awardsTraining and mentorship opportunitiesEpiroc is recognised today as a genuine global leader in innovative product engineering solutions.
