We are looking for an experienced Group Accountant to join our Finance Department.
This role is integral to leading financial management and accounting functions for both Sheldon College and the Sheldon College Foundation.
Reporting directly to the Director of Business and Finance, the Group Accountant will oversee budgeting, financial processes, and strategic financial projections.
They will also work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to ensure best practices in financial management are upheld.

About you
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar financial management role.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA/CPA qualification preferred.
Demonstrated experience in school financial management and government reporting.
Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in modern accounting software and systems (e.g., MYOB, Xero, SAP).
Effective time management skills and a proactive, self-motivated approach to work.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a high degree of empathy and professionalism.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure, team-oriented environment.
