12 Month Contract + 2 X 12 Month Extension WFH Flexibility Baseline Clearance Required Our Client, a Federal Government Department with an agenda to protect Australia's environment and water resources, is seeking an experienced Sharepoint Developer for a long-term contract engagement.
The Department is looking to extend and redefine its use of Share Point to deliver on business and user needs.
Much of the department's digital collaboration and document management is delivered via a Share Point Online (SPO) tenancy.
This role would be focused on providing technical expertise with SPO architecture, configuration, and feature customization.
We need a technical expert able to collaborate effectively with intranet experts, content authors, corporate communications, and other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as needed.
In this role you will: Apply your strong experience in Share Point development to theme templates, develop web parts, configure search, make use of metadata, and implement workflows; Develop intranet reporting and publishing tools.
Automate tedious tasks, set up configurable reports to show intranet value/cost; Develop new web components/add-ins to extend business functionality using Microsoft 365, Teams, Share Point Online, and Microsoft Power Platform; Maximize the use of out-of-the-box features to avoid technical debt and enable feature reuse and scaling; Troubleshoot technical issues; Provide systems training to staff; Participate in requirements analysis.
To be deemed suitable for this Sharepoint Developer role, you will ideally have: Experience developing SPFX web parts and application customizers using Typescript and React; Best practice web publishing standards including knowledge of accessibility and how to mark-up features semantically in HTML; High-level interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders; Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present and communicate information and expectations to stakeholders at all levels; Personal resilience and flexibility to deal with ambiguity and conflicting priorities to successfully deliver under pressure within a challenging environment; Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git; Familiarity with browser testing and debugging.
Desirable Skills: Graph API and Azure AD Application Registration experience; Power BI and Power Apps/Automate experience a plus; Experience in Power Shell for M365; Experience with Pn P; Code review experience.
