An opportunity has arisen for a Claims Officer – Contract works Material Damage Claims within our Corporate and Specialty Claims Division. This role will see you managing a portfolio of Contract works claims with a view to achieving the most cost effective and timely outcomes and in accordance with the relevant legislation.
To achieve this, your key accountabilities will include:
Manage a portfolio of Construction works Insurance claims of appropriate complexity, as determined by the Team leader. Analyse new claims and determine if the items noted are claimable under the terms of the policy. Manage claims from initial assessment to settlement or declinature while assuring best practice process and procedures are maintained. Ensure claims are managed within the guidelines and timeframes set out in the relevant legislation. Manage the expectations of claimants. Liaise with external providers to ensure compliance with timeframes and service level agreements. Contribute to the development of the Specialty Claims team's aim of providing superior claims service. Meet targets for closures, customer service etc as set by management. Effective knowledge and use of computer systems. What you'll bring
At least 2 years of Commercial Claims experience. Strong attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will be committed to improving the customer's experience and delivering high quality solutions within the required timeframes. You will have the ability to work well under pressure and prioritise workloads to meet targets. You will be a team player with the ability to work autonomously. You will be a natural problem solver and be committed to outcomes and results. What we can offer you
