Be part of something bigger.Join the Social and Emotional Well-Being (SEWB) Program as our SEWB Therapeutic Clinician at Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation.
This full-time fixed-term role, until 30 June 2025, involves delivering high-quality mental health and well-being services across East Arnhem Land.
Embedded within the SEWB program, you will conduct cognitive and functional assessments, including for neurodivergent clients, to inform needs-based funding such as NDIS.
You will also collaborate with the local SEWB team to deliver workshops addressing issues like domestic violence, self-harm, and suicide.
The role requires strong clinical skills, experience working with First Nations populations, and a commitment to culturally sensitive, evidence-based interventions.

Miwatj provides culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care to over 6,000 remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents across 3 East Arnhem wards.
With a Head Office in Nhulunbuy, Miwatj also manages a Corporate Office in Darwin, 7 fixed clinics across the East Arnhem region, and dedicated outreach teams who travel to 3 additional locations.Essential RequirementsThe successful applicant will hold current registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist, Provisionally Registered Psychologist, or Occupational Therapist and be eligible for membership with the Australian Psychological Society.
They must demonstrate expertise in psychometric testing, psychological assessment, and culturally appropriate interventions, particularly for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Strong knowledge of issues affecting Yolngu communities, experience working in remote settings, and a commitment to Aboriginal self-determination are essential.
Candidates should possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and record-keeping skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
