No. of Vacancies: 1 Contract Duration: Fixed Term to 30 June 2025 Location: Darwin About The Organisation AMSANT is the peak body for Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services in the Northern Territory and advocates for equity in health, focusing on supporting the provision of high quality comprehensive primary health care services for Aboriginal communities.
AMSANT Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) programs are incorporated into the work of the SEWB team and includes support for services focused on culturally responsive trauma informed practice, suicide prevention and post-vention, workforce development, research and policy.
Salary packaging up to $15,899.94 p.a Employer Superannuation contribution 6 weeks annual leave plus 17.5% leave loading Personal/carers leave up to 10 days per year 10 days per year Study leave can be negotiated Professional Development opportunities 10 days Ceremonial leave Access to a free Employee Assistance Program for work and non-work related Role Description The position provides project support for the delivery of training, professional development and workforce support activities and projects across the Northern Territory.
Training delivered includes culturally responsive trauma informed practice, suicide prevention, domestic violence prevention, coaching and mentoring and SEWB.
Responsibilities Provide administrative support for the planning and delivery of in-person training workshops and other workforce support initiatives delivered across the NT Support enrolment of and ongoing engagement with online training participants through the Moodle e-learning platform Work with the SEWB Team to develop and maintain collaborative, consultative relationships with Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHS) and organisations to improve access to SEWB training programs delivered face-to-face and online.
Work as a part of a team to contribute to the development of new or enhance existing training resources, tools, workshop plans and reports.
Participate in professional development and initiate self-learning that has been informed by evidence to develop content knowledge of training.
Along with other team members, facilitate SEWB training and assist in organisational change programs that are underpinned by trauma informed approaches and provide workforce mentoring and support to ACCHS to apply in practice learning outcomes.
Collaborate with SEWB Manager and SEWB team to complete activities and tasks within timeframes.
Undertake other tasks as directed by SEWB Manager.
Selection Requirements (Qualifications & Attributes) ESSENTIAL Experience working in social and emotional wellbeing, mental health, alcohol and other drugs or other health and social services areas.
Demonstrated project/program experience including experience in developing and maintaining program documentation and reporting on project statuses and activity.
Demonstrated high level organisational and coordination skills with the ability to use initiative, prioritise workloads and maintain flexibility.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) that is suitable to communicating with people from different cultural backgrounds.
Ability to facilitate training and learning outcomes to diverse audiences and the ability to present AMSANT training programs in public forums.
Ability to solve problems as they present, seek assistance, or escalate problem when required.
Understanding of culturally safety or trauma-informed practice or issues surrounding suicide, grief and loss for Aboriginal people.
Demonstrated ability to reflect on own skills and research evidence to improve the quality of training program and its outcomes.
Knowledge and proven ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of products including Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Teams and Sharepoint.
DESIRABLE Familiarity with the Moodle e-learning platform.
Experience working in an Aboriginal-controlled organisation.
Additional information: Original qualifications must be available for viewing and copies to be kept on personnel file.

Applicants must be able and willing to undertake travel throughout the NT and Interstate (sometimes as a light aircraft passenger) and possess a C class Driver's Licence.
