Base Salary: $85,176 - $99,333 (p.a.

)*Contract: Full time contract until 30 June 2025Working with Central Australian Aboriginal Congress offers rewarding career options and a wide range of employee benefits including:Competitive salariesSix (6) weeks' annual leaveGenerous salary packagingA strong commitment to Professional DevelopmentAccess to the Congress health services for you and your family at no costDistrict allowanceAbout the role:The Community Engagement Officer works in partnership with families and key stakeholders to advocate and raise awareness around mental health and suicide and to raise the profile and awareness of SEWB and Culture Care Connect services.The position coordinates and delivers community awareness activities, promotions, and educational presentations around Central Australia.The position is located within the Congress Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Service with access to a network of peer support including clinical supervision.
The SEWB team embeds three streams of care: medical, therapeutic, and cultural and social support with intensive case management as required.
People accessing the SEWB services have access to a dedicated GP and nursing team (healthcare pods) that can provide mental health care plans and integrated care through our therapeutic and social and cultural support model.Why Central Australian Aboriginal Congress?Congress has expanded to become the largest Aboriginal community-controlled health organisation in the Northern Territory and is one of the most experienced Aboriginal primary health care services in the country.Congress provides a comprehensive, holistic, and culturally-appropriate primary health care service to Aboriginal people living in and nearby Alice Springs, including five remote communities.
