Join a landmark infrastructure project as a Senior Sustainability Advisor , that's set to shape the future of Melbourne's transport network. About the role: Provide onsite sustainability support, including induction, training, mentoring, community engagement, and conducting inspections and audits to achieve compliance with the Sustainability Management Plan (SMP) and environmental requirements. Develop and implement sustainability strategies, report on project sustainability performance, and assist with external certifications and tender support. Review and ensure compliance with legal and client-specific requirements, including approvals, specifications, and sustainability-related plans. Coordinate sustainability data collection, perform compliance audits, and identify sustainability innovations to improve project outcomes. Foster positive team collaboration, provide sustainability-related advice to the project team and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including community engagement. The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience: Tertiary qualification in Sustainability Engineering, Environmental Engineering/Science, or a related field, with a minimum of five (5) years' experience in the construction industry. Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional (ISAP) certification, with working knowledge of safety and environmental legislation, Australian Standards, and industry codes. Understanding of project scope, contractual procedures, and managing change, with GreenStar Accredited Professional (GSAP) certification considered highly desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Current C-Class Driver's licence.
