Through ongoing organic growth, Senversa has a new opportunity for a Senior Associate Environmental Consultant with 10+ years' experience to join our Newcastle team.
This is your opportunity to enhance our Contaminated Land team by utilising your leadership, technical and project direction skills in delivering a broad range of projects across the industry for government and private sectors alongside our industry leading staff who have a proven track record of delivering high quality, strategic and commercially astute professional services to federal, state, and local government entities, together with large multi-national private and public companies. You will work with, and be supported by, a team of highly qualified and experienced contaminated land scientists and have access to our team of NSW EPA accredited auditors.
At Senversa, our Contaminated Land team is complimented by our Engineering and Environmental Management and Approvals Teams in delivering multi-disciplinary remediation projects for our clients. You will enjoy being a key role within integrated multi-disciplinary teams of environmental scientists, civil engineers, hydrogeologists and contaminated land professionals to provide our clients with high value solutions.

So what will you do? Providing high quality environmental advisory services to both internal and external clients on a range of issues, supported by our Principals, Senior Principals and EPA auditors. Design, coordination and delivery of environmental risk assessments, associated management system frameworks and environmental management plans. Leading EPA Development Licence Applications, in partnership with technical specialists and planning professionals. Conducting site inspections, audits and technical assessments to support diverse deliverables. Managing projects including budgets, timelines, quality, client contacts and team members. Client and regulator liaison and relationship development. Co-ordinating business development opportunities, proposals and tender responses. Office leadership that supports Senversa's visions and values as "the most satisfying workplace for quality environmental, geosciences and waste management professionals". Helping grow and diversify the EM&A service offering, including in ESG services and digital innovation. What will you bring to the team? Bachelor's Degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, science, or other discipline relevant to environmental management and approvals. At least 10 years' industry experience in the technical delivery of a range of projects, including the application of NSW EPA legislation and guidelines in a commercial setting. Consulting or relevant industry experience in a similar role. Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills. Confidence working in an evolving area where few projects are the same. Commercially astute with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with peers and clients. Creative thinking and problem solving attitude. Pro-active, self-starter with great team working skills. Full Australian driving license.
