Job DescriptionACAP is seeking several dedicated sessional Counselling Educators who are passionate about their field and excited to teach the next generation of professionals.
Opportunities are available at both our Sydney and Melbourne Campuses.
We are seeking experts in one or more of the following subject matters: Neuroscience Counselling and PsychotherapyGrief therapyTrauma CounsellingPhilosophies and Theories of CounsellingCross Cultural CounsellingEthical Decision Making in Counselling and PsychotherapyMental Health CounsellingResearch and Contemporary Counselling ApproachesCreative Arts Counselling and Narrative TherapyContemporary Psychodynamic PsychotherapySessional Tutoring involves: Teaching classes including tutorials, intensive workshops, and engaging with students through online forums.Marking assignments and performing administrative tasks associated with the classes.Teaching from the Sydney CBD or Melbourne CBD campusFull time or part time for a specific period, with the opportunity in exceptional circumstances, to assume the role of Unit Coordinator.QualificationsThe candidates we seek will ideally have: Experience working in a tertiary education institutionExcellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with all levels of the CollegeExcellent scholarly expertise and/or industry expertiseBreadth of Counselling industry expertiseA Counselling qualification, at least MastersMinimum of 5 years professional practice experienceMembership or eligibility for membership of PACFA or ACAAdditional InformationACAP focuses on shared values and strengths across our teams, you will work together with others committed to transforming lives through education in a purpose-driven, engaging, and supportive team environment.
