Sessional Art Therapist

Our work is centered on an individual's needs, which means specialist support whenever and wherever it is needed, whether at home, in the community, or at the hospice.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sessional Art Therapist to work within our Ipswich based Emotional and Spiritual Wellbeing Team.
The maximum number of sessions available per week is 3 to 4, ideally on a Thursday, but this can be negotiated.
You must be a Registered Art Therapist with current registration to the Health and Care Professions Council.
Our ideal candidate will have proven abilities to work with patients and families who have changing needs, both on an individual basis and in groups, as well as an understanding and ability to support individuals and families throughout their illness.
You will be required to: Provide Art Therapy in the most appropriate environment e.g.
hospice, community care unit, in-patient unit.
Maintain high standards of Art Therapy care and correct medical ethics, behaving in a professional manner at all times.
Develop, provide, and evaluate individual Art Therapy for hospice patients and their families/carers.
Offer Art Therapy as part of bereavement care and support.
Establish person-centred goals and evaluate intervention.
Liaise as appropriate with external agencies, ensuring appropriate services are in place and where necessary provide follow-up intervention.
