SESLHD - Staff Specialist - Community Connection PhysicianPosition Classification: Staff SpecialistRequisition ID: REQ524122The Prince of Wales Hospital Community Assessment Unit has 0.3FTE available for a Staff Specialist. This position is temporary with the possibility of extension from 20th January 2025 through to 2nd November 2025.The Community Connection Physician will provide care in the Community Assessment Unit (CAU) and to patients being managed in the community by the health service.The Specialist will be offered an affiliation with an appropriate internal medicine subspecialty within Prince of Wales Hospital, aligning with existing community health programs. The Community Connection Physician will have demonstrated interest in general medical as they will provide expert medicine assessment and management of ALL patients within the CAU, advice and clinical support to the Community Management Centre (CMC) and whilst rostered for the On Call service for the CAR. They will also fulfil other subspecialty duties required by their affiliated and respective subspecialty Head of Department (HoD). Demonstrated commitment to provision of a high standard of clinical care in the public sector setting.Demonstrated experience in and commitment to research relevant to the role and needs of the Department.This is a Category A position.
