To provide high quality specialised clinical coding for SESLHD Hospitals by accurately translating inpatient episodes of care into code, using the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, Twelfth Revision, Australian Modification (ICD-10-AM) and the Australian Classification of Health Interventions (ACHI) to meet Activity Based Funding (ABF) targets, SESLHD/NSW Health Service reporting timeframes and research requirements. Demonstrated experience and competence in clinical classification using ICD-10-AM and high level proven knowledge of Australian Coding Standards. Practical knowledge and experience in current disease classification in a tertiary teaching hospital. Demonstrated understanding of Diagnosis Related Groups (DRGs) as per Activity Based Funding (ABF) principles and application within the health system. Experience using 3M Codefinder and Patient Administration Systems/eMR. Demonstrated attention to detail and proven ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work both in an unsupervised environment and within a team with excellent interpersonal skills.
