The Bezzina House Cancer Care Lodge is a purpose-built lodging facility located on the corner of Gray and Short streets in Kogarah.
Its prime location provides convenient access to the St George Hospital Main Entrance and Cancer Care Centre.
Featuring 15 self-contained units, Bezzina House offers an affordable and comfortable accommodation option for patients travelling to receive treatments for cancer at St George Hospital.
The Bezzina House Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Bezzina House, which includes the efficient management of facility maintenance.
Additionally, the manager is committed to promptly and effectively addressing any concerns raised by residents regarding the accommodation service they are utilising.
Key Responsibilities Relevant tertiary qualifications in health management, health administration or business administration, or relevant equivalent work experience or a combination of study and work experience. Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team to perform a range of management and administrative tasks within allocated timeframe. Demonstrated high level interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with a strong customer service approach, to collaborate professionally and effectively with key stakeholders. Demonstrated excellent written communication skills with the ability to write complex documentation including reports, briefs and correspondence with a strong attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt work practices to meet current and emerging service needs. Demonstrated experience in financial delegation and cost centre management, including the ability to effectively allocate resources, monitor budgets and ensure optimal financial performance. Understanding and compassion towards the needs of people affected by cancer / complex health issues, to foster a supportive and understanding environment for Bezzina House residents. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computers and standard office software packages and the ability to instruct others in their use. Need more information?
