SES2 General Manager, Data (Chief Data and Analytics Officer) The General Manager, Data (Chief Data and Analytics Officer) is responsible for the establishment and leadership of AUSTRAC's Data Division. They are accountable for enterprise-wide governance, management, and use of data across AUSTRAC.
The General Manager will lead AUSTRAC's uplift in data culture and literacy, and will champion data and analytics innovation across the agency and with our key partners. They will appropriately manage business planning, risk, and quality to ensure the agency is accountable and well-positioned to adopt emerging analytical technologies and approaches.
The role is a member of AUSTRAC's Executive Leadership Group and is expected to contribute actively to executive strategies, governance, and decision-making, including through advice and strategic recommendations to other executives and the CEO. In addition to contributing to the strategic direction and performance of the organisation, the role includes a particular focus on providing strong leadership of their Division and leading broader transformation change across the agency.
AUSTRAC is committed to implementing The SES Performance Framework, as a priority set out in the APS reform agenda to strengthen behaviour and outcomes-based performance management, starting with the SES. The SES Performance Framework progresses this initiative by providing an overarching set of requirements that will be applied across the APS to embed a culture of transparency and accountability for SES performance.
Position Eligibility Requirements: The successful applicant will be required to satisfy AUSTRAC's pre-engagement checks and obtain and maintain an ongoing Negative Vetting 2 security clearance. To be eligible for assessment, applicants must be an Australian citizen.
