How will I help? This role is part of the Infrastructure and Service Management team and liaises with Tech Leads and BA's. As a Developer within the IT Service Management (ITSM) portfolio, you will be responsible for the development of enhancements large and small to the ServiceNow platform. Working within an Agile squad structure, you will work closely with the aligned Product Owner, Business Analyst, Tech Lead and other Developers to ensure that all development and configuration activity follow a consistent process and are of high quality, delivering a great customer outcome.
Your role will include: Work in an Agile or Scrum software development environmentWork within the SAFE framework as part of a Release TrainWork with BA's, Scrum masters and tech leads to refine backlog stories and provide technical input regarding ServiceNow configuration, best practice and platform featuresDocument detailed designs and estimationsUse your technical skills to develop the solution and provide peer support and guidanceContribute to the efficient operation of the squad and overall release train.What's in it for me? What do I need? Good knowledge of ITSM processes and ITIL with ITIL v4 certification preferredStrong expertise with ServiceNow configuration, customisation and administrationRelevant certifications of ServiceNow CSA and CADStrong experience with Client Scripts, Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, and ACLs including advanced scripting of each, forms workflows, integration hub and custom Service Portal widgetsExtensive functional knowledge of ServiceNow modules including ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Report/ Performance Analytics and Service Catalog/Portal.Knowledge of HTTP, REST, and API design best practices. Understanding of event-driven architectures. Understanding of asynchronous programming concepts. Knowledge of modern web design (CSS, HTML, etc.), JavaScript, and Angular.Proficiency in programming languages, such as C, C++, Java, Python or .NET is desirableWhat is it like to work there?
