The role
An exciting opportunity is available for a local Service Technician to join our service department based out of our Mount Isa facility on an 8 on 6 off roster.
The role is required to support our customers on-site operations by carrying out efficient diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to our range of state-of-the-art mobile equipment used in the mining and construction industries.
Your application of a proactive approach to ensuring machine performance will assist our customers to improve their productivity and the success of their operations, ensuring that we further expand our customer base in the area and the growth of the support team.
To support you, we will supply product training and the support of our dedicated products support personnel.
Areas of responsibility
Carry out general mechanical duties, maintenance, repairs and fault diagnosis work on all Sandvik Mining equipment.
Performing mechanical maintenance duties as per maintenance plans while upholding the integrity of the equipment and ensuring safe operation is not compromised.
Providing feedback for efficient maintenance planning improvements.
Record keeping of parts usage, equipment monitoring, time records.
Adhering to all policies & procedures, especially EHS policies.
Your profile
Australian recognized Mechanical Trade Certification is required.
Demonstrated previous experience with Trucks, Loaders and Drilling mobile mining equipment would be a distinct advantage.
Strong and proven safety culture.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service focus and motivation and determination to achieve targets and goals.
Proactive, self-motivated and demonstrate initiative.
Basic computer literacy.
Class C Manual Driver's License.
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, reference checks, police checks and regular onsite drug & alcohol testing.
