Service Technician

Fitters, Turners & Machinists (Trades & Services) Full time This is a full-time role for a Service Technician in our mechanical division, located in Alexandria, Sydney NSW. The role mainly services the Sydney Metropolitan area and therefore the applicant must live in the Sydney Metropolitan area. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing maintenance, repair and service for commercial machinery and plants operated by our clients. They will also be responsible for liaising with clients to determine the nature of the issue, recommending repairs, scheduling and conducting maintenance activities to improve performance, and ensuring quality work. The successful applicant will be required to carry out mechanical repairs on but not limited to the following:– Pump overhauls– Motor overhauls– Sewer works– Bearing replacements– Rigging of chillers, boilers, CRAC units etc.– Laser Alignments– Electrical disconnection and connection– Dynamic balancing of fans etc. You will be required to be on a rotating afterhours call-out roster system (paid). You will also be required to work a reasonable amount of overtime. The applicant MUST be an Australian Citizen of sound physical health, able bodied without a criminal history. A physical/doctor's and criminal history check will be required. The successful applicant must have a trade certificate, preferably Cert 3 Engineering (Fitter Machinist), Motor or Diesel mechanic or boilermaker. #J-18808-Ljbffr
