Location: Clarke Creek Wind Farm, Queensland.
The reason for this role: Reporting to the Site Manager, the Service Technician is responsible for assisting in the execution of the operation and maintenance to assets installed at Goldwind wind farms.
The operation and maintenance will be conducted on the installed Wind Turbine Generators and some Balance of Plant equipment.
Please note this role will be working a structured roster whilst on site and you will be based at the Clarke Creek Camp whilst on shifts.
This will be a 7/7 roster.
What you will be doing? Assist in the completion of Wind Turbine scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.Assist in the completion of electrical Balance of Plant scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.Assist in maintaining particular wind farm Balance of Plant equipment.Assist sub-contractor in completing relevant sub-contractor tasks; Identify any risks to completing scheduled maintenance plan or to any particular performance standards and report to Site Supervisor.Complete wind farm maintenance records for all tasks and ensure site Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is accurately kept up to date.Ensure inventory levels are appropriately maintained.Continually provide feedback to Service Site Supervisor on ideas or thoughts which may contribute to developing improvements and efficiencies of work tasks.What does your background look like? Previous experience working on large industrial Electrical in either a construction, commissioning, or maintenance environment; and working within a troubleshooting or fault-finding environment.Previous experience working within the Wind Industry would be considered favourably.Experience maintaining equipment (assets) specifically in the electrical generating industry.Switchyard or sub-station maintenance.Internal report writing in relation to maintenance activities.Experience in working in remote locations.Qualifications Needed Current trade qualification in the form of an A Class Electricians license.Drivers Licence/First Aid Certificate/OHS Construction white card.Additional Qualification Preferred Working at Heights/ Dogging Licence.Goldwind Australia offers all their employees excellent benefits, career development pathways, support and ongoing training.
