The Royal Hobart Hospital and Department of Anatomical Pathology is seeking interest from suitably qualified applicants for Staff Specialist – Anatomical Pathology vacancies.

The Role Participate in the Anatomical Pathology services provided by the department of Anatomical Pathology at the RHH. Conduct tissue review meetings. Undertake undergraduate teaching of medical students of the University of Tasmania. Provide supervision and training of postgraduate specialist trainees. Maintain involvement in research activities including supervision of research students. Monitor the effectiveness of the services provided to patients. Provide administrative functions to the unit as required. Work collaboratively with scientific staff and other health professionals. Actively participate in and contribute to the organisation's Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, including in the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives, safeguarding practices for vulnerable people, and related training. The incumbent can expect to be allocated duties, not specifically mentioned in this document, that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification level. Essential Requirements Holds specialist registration; or Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who is on the specialist pathway. Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who has a recognised overseas specialist qualification and is assessed as having sufficient experience in the speciality. Desirable Requirements Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA) autopsy certificates - adult and perinatal, or relevant equivalent qualification. Details of Appointment Permanent, full-time day work (with on-call), working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible. Fixed term, part-time day work (with on-call), working 38 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible until December 2025. What do I submit with my application?
